Hon. Justice Nura Sagir, is currently the Hon. Chief Judge of Kano State, Nigeria. He served as a Member of, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) from 1981 to 1982 from where he moved to State Counsel/Senior State Counsel in 1982 – 1988. He was appointed as the Chairman, Kano State Rent Tribunal, in 1986 – 1988.
Hon. Justice Nura Sagir was Lecturer II, Deputy Dean of Law/Acting Head of Department (HOD) of Public Law, Faculty of Law, Bayero University, Kano, a position he has held from 1988 to 1991.
He was appointed to the rank of Chief Judge, Kano High Court in 1991 till date, Hon. Justice Nura Sagir served as the Chairman of Miscellaneous I Offences Tribunal Kano/Borno Zone, from 1995 – 1997. In 1998, he was a Member of the Governorship and Legislative House Election Tribunal in Lagos State.
Hon. Justice Nura Sagir, was a member, National Assembly Governorship/Legislative House Election Tribunal, Nassarawa State in the year 2020. Also, he was the Chairman Kano State Local Government Election Tribunal, 2003
He has attended over twenty-five (25) conferences, workshop seminars, and professional trainings within and outside Nigeria, he also has a Publication on the Law of Continental Shelf with Reference to Nigeria in 1988 journals and publications to his credit and has attended over forty (40) conferences and was listed among “100 Most Influential Africans of 2015”, by the New African Magazine in 2015
He is happily married to 2 wives and 7 children
